Nicola Sladden appointed as Banking Ombudsman

Current Deputy Banking Ombudsman Nicola Sladden has been appointed Banking Ombudsman by the Banking Ombudsman Scheme’s board of directors.

Ms Sladden has been the Deputy Banking Ombudsman since January 2011, and brings more than 15 years’ experience in dispute resolution to the new role.  During that time she has led a significant improvement in the timeliness and quality of dispute resolution. She has also recently managed the external scheme review, including its terms of reference.  She takes over from Deborah Battell on 1 August. 

Ms Battell has led the modernisation of the scheme, ensuring it delivers greater value for participants and customers, over the last six years as the Banking Ombudsman.
